Celebaby: Nadine Coyle Welcomes Baby Anaíya To The World
Here at Playpennies Towers we like to think we've got our finger on the pulse when it comes to celebrity mums and dads; if knowing all there is to know about which A-lister is expecting, or how many pairs of shoes Suri Cruise actually owns was an Olympic sport, well, let's just say we reckon we'd be in with a chance of scoring Gold.
So it was with disbelief that I discovered this week that we utterly missed a recent baby announcement by one of our fave celeb mums.
Maybe I'm losing my touch (or maybe I've spent way too much time browsing for pics of celeb dad Michael Bublé and calling it 'work'...) but while my eye was off the ball (or on the Bublé...) Nadine Coyle took to Instagram to tell the world that her little girl has arrived! She also wrote on Twitter:
"I am overjoyed to let you know our little girl is here. She is amazing! I love being a mammy & will fill you all in soon. Love Nadine Xx"
The former Girls Aloud singer later followed up her baby announcement with this sweet admission...
"I have so many of you to thank for your gifts & well wishes. I am in the land of total baby bliss. Thank you all for your love & support. Xx"
And then a few days after that, Nadine revealed that sliced bread isn't a patch on her little lady, tweeting:
"I have to introduce you to my daughter soon. She is the best thing ever. Way better than sliced bread! Xx"
And THEN she got a bit carried away and had a gushy mum moment, and said all this:
"She is amazing thank you. I cry tears of joy at least once a day. Xx"
"I haven't left her side since she was born. I tried to go out one day & broke my heart crying in the driveway. Maybe tomorrow...... Xx"
"Nawwwww!! Who am I kidding. Maybe next month.. Xx"
And after all that she shared the adorable snap, above, of her baby girl, and told the world her name: Anaíya.
According to Metro, Nadine's daughter's name is pronounced 'ah nah YAH' and "is a Hebrew name meaning ‘god has answered’ or ‘she who brings sunshine’". That's pretty gorgeous, no?
But c'mon Nadine. We're glad to hear that you're floating on a fluffy cloud of baby bliss, but every Mama knows that never leaving your baby's side is a bad idea... time for one quick cocktail with the girls asap...
