Cow & Gate have issued a recall on baby food sold in all major supermarkets following fears it is unsafe to eat.
In a statement via the Food Standard Agency they said that parts of rubber gloves have been found in one particular batch of their jarred food. It was known to have been sold in Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury's, Boots and other major stores.
The items recalled are as follows:
- Recalled item: Cow & Gate Cheesy Broccoli Bake (10+ months) 250g Jars
- Batch number: 28122020
- Best before date: 28/12/2020
Cow & Gate stated "We are recalling one batch of Cheesy Broccoli Bake (10+ months) 250g jars because small pieces of a thin blue rubber glove have been found in some jars in t his batch.
"No other batches of this product or any other Cow & Gate products are affected."
If you have bought the above product do not feed it to your baby. Instead, return it to the store where it was bought, with or without a receipt, for a full refund.
