Celebaby: Gwyneth Paltrow Is Feelin' The Love On Mother's Day
Ok so technically she's not an expectant mum and she recently consciously uncoupled rather than gave birth, but the star of today's Celebaby is Gwyneth Paltrow because of the adorable family snap which she shared on Instagram this week.
The mum of two took to the social media platform on Mother's Day (in the US) to share the sunny snap of her with her two children, Apple and Moses, and added the caption:
"Feelin' the love today #luckymama"
The Daily Mail reports:
"Meanwhile, Gwyneth turned to her website Goop on Friday to hit back at critics who slammed her for insinuating that working a 9 to 5 desk job as a mother is easier than being a mommy movie star."
"The Oscar winner demanded that women 'cut each other some slack' and claims her quotes were taken out of context."
And here's what Paltrow wrote on her blog:
"As the mommy wars rage on, I am constantly perplexed and amazed by how little slack we cut each other as women. We see disapproval in the eyes of other mothers when we say how long we breastfed (Too long? Not long enough?), or whether we have decided to go back to work versus stay home. Is it not hard enough to attempt to raise children thoughtfully, while contributing something, or bringing home some (or more) of the bacon? Why do we feel so entitled to opine, often so negatively, on the choices of other women?"
Hmm. What do you reckon? Fair point, well made, or should famous parents expect a little more 'heat' than the average mum or dad, particularly if they wax lyrical about their approach to parenting...?
