Christmas bedding is my favourite bit of the whole build up, because it's the one thing you get to enjoy every night rather than looking at it once and putting the box away. The OHS Tufted Gingerbread Man Teddy Duvet Cover Set is exactly that sort of buy, and the single in natural is down to £13 from £17. It comes in navy and pink as well if cream isn't your thing.

The cover itself is a proper teddy fleece, so it's that soft, slightly fluffy stuff that warms up quickly when you get in rather than the cold cotton feel. There's a gingerbread man worked into the front in raised tufted fabric, so it's textured and sits proud of the fleece instead of being printed flat.
In the natural one the single is £13, the double is £23 and the king is £26. The single measures 135 x 200cm, the double 200 x 200cm and the king 230 x 220cm, and the single comes with one pillowcase while the double and king come with two. Navy and pink are £17 for a single and £23 for a double. It's all machine washable and can go in the tumble dryer too, which matters with a fluffy cover.
I'd have the natural one for the spare room and let the kids pick between the navy and the pink.
