Otto the Otter Range from £3 @ Dunelm

Dunelm have built a whole range round a character again, and this time it's an otter, I mean how cute is that! Otto the Otter runs from £3 for the little bits up to £25 for a resin lamp, and it's the slippers and the hoodie that would be in my basket. Take a look at what we spotted...

The mule slippers are £8 and they're slip on, so no bending about at the door. They've a plush finish, 3D ears and an embroidered face, and a warm lining, which is what I look for in a slipper rather than something flat and thin. The Oversized Hoodie is here for £18* and it's the piece I'd wear all winter, soft fleece with otters printed all over a pale blue background, a hood, elasticated cuffs and a front pocket. The oversized fit is the point of it, so you can curl up on the sofa in it rather than wearing it done up and sitting upright.

For the sofa there's a printed fleece throw, 170cm by 130cm, and it's £7, the Otto the Otter Printed Fleece Throw is here for £7*. It's polyester fleece, soft rather than heavy, and machine washable, which a throw on a sofa needs to be. It folds away small enough to live in a basket next to the sofa rather than being out all year.

The long hot water bottle is £10 and the long shape is the useful bit, because it wraps round a back or lies along a lap instead of sitting in one spot. The Otto the Otter Long Hot Water Bottle is here for £10*, and the cover is hand wash only while the bottle is wipe clean, so it's a bit more careful than a throw. The plush pair is £12 for two otters, with a velcro pad on each set of paws so you can link them together or pull them apart, the Otto the Otter Plush Toy Pair is here for £12* and it's the gift I'd buy without needing to know anything about the person.

There are the smaller things too. The eye mask and the socks are £3 each, the pencil case and the microwaveable hottie are £7, and the Otto the Otter Mini Plush Toy is here for £5*, which is the stocking filler of the range and the cheapest way to see whether the character goes down well. The Otto the Otter Eye Mask is here for £3* is the other one I'd add to a basket, and at the top end Ottelie the Otter Resin Table Lamp is here for £25* if you want the character without it looking like a toy.

It's a big range for one character, so there's plenty more than the pieces I've picked out, and the smaller bits are the easy way to try it without spending much. If you're starting to think about presents, a £7 throw and a £3 eye mask is a decent little set for very little money.
