Behind the 24 doors it's bath and body things rather than the tiny samples nobody wants. There are body washes, body butters, hand creams, body mists and bath foams in there, along with shea sugar scrubs, a hair mask, a face mask, a hand mask and a cuticle balm, and there's an exfoliating mitt for using with the scrubs.
The bit that makes it worth the money is the box. It's a lidded vanity case rather than a cardboard calendar, 27cm wide and 16.5cm tall with just over 12cm of depth, so come January it's the box the nail varnish and the hair bobbles live in rather than something for the recycling. It weighs about a kilo, and everything in it is cruelty free.
At £25.20 for 24 days it's a good present for someone you'd normally spend twenty five pounds on, and it's a nicer thing to hand over than another candle. It's also the one to buy if December has crept up on you, because a calendar that arrives in the first week still does the job.
