The tree isn't even up yet and I'm already thinking about lights. These 25 metre sets of 200 LEDs start at £13.45 at Amazon, and there's a 45% voucher on them that takes the warm white down to £7.40.
It's a one click voucher, so tick it on the product page before you go to the basket and the 45% comes off at checkout.
The warm and multicolour set* is here for £7.94, down from £14.44, and the warm white set* is here for £7.40, down from £13.45. The same 45% voucher comes off both of them, and the multicolour set above is £8.24 from £14.99.
The multicolour one does warm and colour changing, and it comes with a remote and 11 modes, so you can change it from the sofa rather than going out to the plug.
You get 25 metres of cable with 200 multicolour LEDs on it, which is enough for a decent tree or a run along the front of the house, and you can join up to three sets together off the one plug.
There are eight modes and four brightness settings, and the memory keeps it on the one you picked rather than starting again every time it's switched on. The timer is the bit I'd use most, so it comes on as it gets dark and goes off later without you having to remember.
It's IP65, so it's happy outside in the rain, and it runs off the mains rather than batteries, which is one less thing to be hunting for in December.
At under £8 a set for that length it's cheap enough to do outside as well as in.
Delivery is free for Amazon Prime members. Non-members get free standard delivery on orders over £35, otherwise it's £4.99.
