If you've a man to buy for who's particular about what he smells like, Viktor & Rolf's Spicebomb is the safe answer. A 90ml bottle is £44 at Lloyds Pharmacy, down from £110, which is £66 off.
It's the original Spicebomb rather than one of the later spin-offs, so it's the one he'll recognise: pink pepper and bergamot at the top, cinnamon, saffron and cumin in the middle, and tobacco, leather and vetiver underneath. It's warm and spicy without being heavy, it lasts most of the day on skin, and the grenade-shaped bottle looks like a proper present rather than something you picked up in a hurry.
