If you're looking for a wee bit of quiet for any Switch users in your house or when travelling check out these earbuds. They'd make a fab stocking filler and are only £6.97 today with that usual free Prime delivery too.
They're in-ear with three sets of tips in the box, so you can swap to whichever pair actually sits in your ear properly rather than having one that keeps working loose. The jack is a right-angle one, which keeps the cable tucked down instead of sticking straight up out of the console. The mic is in the wire with a slider to mute it, so you can chat in an online game and shut it off without hunting through a menu, and there's a small slider on the cable itself to keep it from ending up in knots.
They're wired, so it's a cable back to the console while you play handheld, and there's no charging to think about either. There's a drawstring bag in the box for keeping them in, which matters with in-ear ones as they're easily lost down the side of a bag.
It's a 3.5mm jack at the end of the day, so they'll do for anything else with the same socket if they're not needed on the console.
Delivery is free for Amazon Prime members. Non-members get free standard delivery on orders over £35, otherwise it's £4.99.
