George at Asda have just dropped these The Grinch Green Fur Lined Clogs from £8. They are fur lined, with the heel strap that makes them a proper shoe rather than a slipper, perfect for outdoor festive activities.
The green is the shoe itself rather than a print, a bright lime moulded shell with the round holes over the toe. Round the base there's a red band carrying GRINCH in white letters filled with red and white candy cane stripes, and then the good bit on the toe, two rubber charms per shoe. One is the Grinch's face in a red Santa hat, green faced with yellow eyes and a smirk, and the other is Max the dog dressed as a reindeer with a red scarf and one antler tied on.
The heel strap is red as well, on a round pivot button, so it swings back behind the heel or folds down along the side. Across the strap it says NAUGHTY and NICE in white lettering, with the 'and' sitting on a little green star. The holes either side of the charms are the kind you clip things into, so any charms they've already got will fit.
Inside is a thick curly fur in a lighter yellow green, and there's so much of it that it spills over the collar all the way round, which is what makes them warm enough to wear without socks through the winter. The upper and the sole are both plastic, so a wet playground doesn't ruin them, and the sole has a chunky block tread rather than a smooth bottom, so they're not skating about on a slippy path. Each footbed has a green label with The GRINCH on it in red.
The sizes start at a UK 8, which is an EU 26, and go up to a UK 6, an EU 39, so it's a wider run than it sounds. The price climbs with them: the UK 8, 9, 10 and 11 are all £8, the UK 12 and UK 2 are £10, and the two biggest, the UK 3 and UK 6, are £12. The EU size is on the list against each one, so check the chart before you pick.
At £8 they're the price of a pair of slippers, and they're the sort of thing that gets worn every day from now until the fur gives up.
