This is the time of year when every radiator in the house disappears under wet washing and a towel takes two days to dry. The Beldray quick dry heat unit turns an ordinary three tier airer into a heated one, and it's down to £33.33 at Argos from £50 as part of their early Black Friday deals. Though it's worth knowing you're buying the heat pod and the cover only, so you need the airer already.
The way it works is that the 1200W pod sits underneath your airer and pushes warm air up through the laundry, and the polyester cover goes over the top to keep that heat in. It's vented so the moisture can escape rather than collecting inside, which is the bit that stops a room going damp, and the cover holds about two wash loads at a time. There's a digital timer on it, the cable is 1.8m so it reaches a normal socket, and it comes with a three year guarantee.
Argos say it fits most three tier airers, and it does need assembling, so factor that in before you need it working. The pod itself is only 15cm high and about 1.57kg with the cover on, so it tucks away under the airer without getting in the way.
At a third off it's a cheap way to stop the spare room looking like a launderette all winter.
Delivery is £4.95 for small items and free over £100, and same day collection from a store is available.
