If there's a Hot Wheels collection taking over a bedroom floor in your house, this is a good one for December. The Hot Wheels 2026 Advent Calendar is £13.49 at Amazon, and there are ten proper 1:64 cars behind the doors rather than a load of filler. That works out at about £1.35 a car, before you count the accessories.
Behind the other fourteen doors are winter bits like a reindeer and a sleigh, so a little scene builds up as December goes on rather than a car every morning and nothing to do with them. The one I like best is the exclusive snow globe car with a yeti driver, which you won't find on its own in the shops. There are ten ornament clips in the box too, so the cars can hang on the tree and come back off again for playing.
It's the sort of calendar that gives them something to do each day, and the cars go into a collection once Christmas is over instead of being thrown out with the wrappers. At this price I'd get it in now rather than leave it to the last week of November.
Delivery is free for Amazon Prime members. Non-members get free standard delivery on orders over £35, otherwise it's £4.99.
