About The Game Collection

The Game Collection is a UK video game retailer trading at thegamecollection.net (often shortened to TGC), selling new and pre-owned games, consoles and accessories for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X, PC and selected legacy platforms. The Game Collection discount code section on Playpennies brings together verified vouchers, weekly Deals of the Week prices and bonus reward-point events so gamers can pre-order or restock the shelf without paying full price. Beyond the offers, thegamecollection.net pairs free UK delivery on every order with a Reward Points loyalty programme and a Pre-Order Price Promise that protects the lower price if it drops before release. Whether you are buying a new release, a pre-owned bargain or a console bundle, applying a current The Game Collection discount code at the basket can shave money off the final total.

The Game Collection Newsletter Sign-Up

Signing up to The Game Collection email newsletter is the easiest way to receive a regular feed of seasonal sale alerts, Deal of the Week prices and any new The Game Collection discount code as soon as it launches. Subscribers are typically the first to be told when bigger Reward Points multipliers (4x, 5x or higher) drop on selected new releases. Pairing newsletter alerts with a current The Game Collection voucher from this Playpennies page is the most reliable way to compound savings on a multi-game basket. The sign-up form sits in the website footer and on a homepage popup at thegamecollection.net.

The Game Collection Reward Points

The Game Collection Reward Points programme is the free loyalty scheme that earns 10 points for every £1 spent on the main TGC site, with 400 Reward Points worth £1 of discount on a future order. Points are spent in 400-point increments either as a direct basket reduction at checkout or swapped for a voucher code that must be used within 28 days. Points are credited once an order has been dispatched, and pre-order points show as "awaiting" until the item ships. Stacking Reward Points with a current The Game Collection discount code on the same order is permitted; promotional codes work alongside Reward Points redemption. Points expire 365 days after the most recent point is earned, so log in periodically to keep the balance alive.

The Game Collection Bonus Points Events

The Game Collection runs Triple Points Reward events on selected new releases and pre-orders, multiplying the standard 10 points per £1 earn rate to 30 points or higher per £1 on qualifying titles. Bigger 4x, 5x or higher multipliers occasionally surface on the email newsletter without being advertised on the homepage. The bonus points are credited on dispatch, so pre-order titles will show as awaiting points until release day. Combining a Bonus Points Event title with a current The Game Collection discount code is a layered route to compound savings on a single qualifying release. Promotional code orders may not stack with the additional bonus point amount, so check the campaign T&Cs before relying on both.

The Game Collection Pre-Order Price Promise

The Game Collection Pre-Order Price Promise locks in the lowest pre-order price between the order date and the release date. If the price drops between when the pre-order is placed and the release date, the difference is refunded automatically to the original payment method within 7 days of release. Pre-orders placed with a promotional code may not auto-refund the price drop, so contact customer service if you spot a missed refund after 7 days. The promise does not apply to accidental mispricing per the published Terms and Conditions, and only the better of the original price or the new lower price is paid by the customer. Pairing the Pre-Order Price Promise with an active The Game Collection discount code is the most reliable way to lock in the cheapest possible pre-order price.

The Game Collection Payment Options

The Game Collection accepts a wide spread of payment options at the UK checkout, including Klarna for shoppers wanting to spread the cost on a higher-value basket. Choosing the right payment route can keep a The Game Collection discount code working alongside instalment plans without changing the basket total.

• Cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express accepted online.
• PayPal: Standard PayPal checkout supported on thegamecollection.net.
• PayPal Pay in 3: Three interest-free instalments on eligible PayPal baskets.
• Apple Pay: One-tap checkout via Touch ID or Face ID on supported devices.
• Google Pay: Google Pay checkout for stored cards on Android and Chrome.
• Klarna: Buy-now-pay-later available on baskets of £50 or more, with the first instalment taken at checkout and the rest collected automatically later.

The Game Collection Delivery Options

The Game Collection ships UK orders free via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on standard items, with larger orders and consoles sent via Parcelforce courier. Stacking the basket while a The Game Collection discount code is being applied is the easiest way to lower the total cost on a multi-game order.

• Free Standard Delivery: Free on every UK order via Royal Mail Tracked 24, with around 93% of parcels delivered next working day.
• Courier Delivery (Free): Free upgrade to Parcelforce courier on orders over £125 or on heavy/bulky items, with signature required.
• Paid Courier Upgrade: From £4.95 on standard in-stock items for next-working-day delivery, with a 1pm cut-off Monday to Friday.
• Dispatch Schedule: Orders dispatched Monday to Friday from the warehouse, excluding UK public holidays.
• Postcode Surcharge: £7.75 surcharge on selected Highlands and Islands postcodes (HS, KW, ZE, IV, PA, PH, KA27-28); £13.25 on BT, IM and TR21-25 postcodes.
• Digital Codes: Digital products typically delivered by email within 5 minutes of order completion subject to fraud checks.

The Game Collection Returns and Refunds

The Game Collection offers a 14-day return window for unwanted items in original sealed packaging, plus a 30-day window for damaged or incorrect items reported to customer service. Refunds are processed within 2-3 working days of the warehouse receiving the return.

• Unwanted Returns: 14 days from receipt for a refund; games must be in original packaging and still sealed under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
• Consoles: Can be opened for inspection but not used, and must be returned with every component including cables and controllers.
• Damaged or Incorrect Items: 30 days from receipt to report to customer service; photo evidence speeds up the refund or replacement process.
• Digital Codes: Non-refundable once the code has been emailed; buying a digital product waives the 14-day cooling-off period.
• Refund Processing: 2-3 working days from receipt of the return, with bank processing adding up to 10 more days.
• Refund Method: Original payment method only; cannot be paid out to a different card or account.

How to Use a The Game Collection Discount Code

Applying a The Game Collection discount code at the online checkout takes just a few steps.

• Browse and add to basket: Visit thegamecollection.net and add the chosen new release, pre-owned game, console or accessory to the basket.
• Go to the basket: Open the basket page to review the selected items and any Deal of the Week or Bonus Points Event prices already applied.
• Enter the code: Locate the promotional code field at checkout and type the The Game Collection discount code exactly as shown, including any capital letters, then click apply.
• Confirm the saving: Check that the reduction is reflected in the order total before completing payment, and pair Reward Points redemption at the same step if needed.
• Note: Most The Game Collection promo codes cannot be combined with other vouchers, may exclude digital codes, console bundles and selected pre-orders.
