Every year this series of Christmas Activity Books comes round and I've bought the same books two years in a row myself. They're only 69p each at Home Bargains, but if you don't have one nearby, or yours is out of stock, you can also find them in Aldi as of today for 99p. I've bought them for £1 or more each time and they are definitely worth it - and worth a trip to Aldi for me tomorrow!
Fortunately my girls are only 2 and 5, so they don't remember last Christmas, or doing these books then, and even less so doing them the year before. The nice thing is that there's a range of activities in each book, so you can adapt and adjust how you do them with children of a variety of ages and as they get older they can do them with a little more autonomy. I'm quite looking forward to them this year!
We use one or two a week in our book advent calendar, and do crafts, baking and decoration making throughout the week out of each book. They also include a pop out scene so you can decorate your own little Christmas scenes.
They really are quite fabulous.
