If you're already planning the Christmas catch-ups, Costa have their festive menu landing on Thursday 22 October. There are four new drinks this year, including a Golden Hazel Latte with Ferrero Rocher and a Gingerbread Iced Matcha Latte, and the Gingerbread Latte and Caramel Nutcracker Latte so many people wait for are back as well.
The Mystery Box Plushies are the ones I'd be after. They come in four gingerbread characters and you don't know which you've got until the box is open, with one ultra-rare one hidden in the collection, which is half the fun of it. There's a pile of travel cups to go with them as well, two 16oz stainless steel ones in white and blue with a snowflake design on them, two 500ml reusable cups in red and blue that come with a sticker sheet so you can add your own festive bits, and a 360ml ceramic mug with an embossed design on the side.
If you're there at lunchtime rather than for a coffee, the food side has a Pigs in Blankets 'Nduja Mac & Cheese, a Festive Flatbread with chicken, spiced red cabbage and stuffing, and a Festive Feast Toastie, with the Pigs & Blankets Toastie back on the menu too. I'd be having the mac and cheese, and I'd be getting there early for it.
It isn't only in the shops either. The Caramel Nutcracker is in over 14,000 Costa Express machines, and the Gingerbread Latte sachets are back in Tesco, Morrisons, Iceland and Sainsbury's if you'd rather have one at home in your dressing gown. There are gingerbread keyrings and a wreath and gingerbread decoration for the tree too, which would do a stocking nicely.
