You can also buy the Science Museum Mini ATM Bank at Argos for half price at £15.99, although it is smaller than the one sold by Amazon. It is out of stock for home delivery, but you can reserve and collect in store, for free, if your local store has any in stock.
A toy like the ATM Bank at least gives children some sort of motivation to squirrel their money away. The ATM Bank recognizes each coin and lets you set a target savings amount and check your balance at any time. It accepts both coins and notes. The bank has an automatic note slot. There's a bank card with a 4 digit code to use the ATM bank, and the machine lights up and makes real ATM bank sounds when in use.
Enter name and date of birth and if used on your birthday a birthday song will sound. If used on Christmas day, a Christmas song will sound. The ATM bank also has an alarm and calendar function with LCD display. It requires 3 x AA batteries (supplied). Not intended as a toy for young children and not suitable for children under 3 years. Only recognises UK currency
