It requires 3 x AA batteries which, unusually, are included, and makes a range of doggy-like barking noises when pushed along the floor. Customer reviews say this adds to the cute-factor rather than being irritating, and kids apparently get lots of laughs out of it. Its ears also wiggle  when its in use! And when you stop vacuuming it makes a whimpering noise and switches itself off automatically.

At 39cm tall it's probably best suited to toddlers but the item has received good reviews on the Argos website, and satisfied customers say older children like having a go with this toy too. It's received 4 out of a possible 5 stars and out of 24 reviews 100% of customers would recommend it.

It seems a great price for a toy that should provide hours of entertainment. My kids always want to do the hoovering so this strikes me as a brilliant way of letting them join in with the chores.

Now if only it actually did the hoovering, too!
