Oh B&M, you've just rocketed to being my favourite bargain store, EVER! Why, you ask? Well, that's because they are now selling cake flavoured gin liqueurs. I like cake and I love gin, so this is like a dream mix for me. Anyone else thinking of a shot poured over vanilla ice-cream?
Battenberg Cake Gin
Let's talk cake flavoured gin. B&M have decided to do us gin lovers a solid, and have started to sell Lemon Drizzle Cake and Bakewell Tart gin liqueurs.
These are a must if you like your gin fancy, but you are not gonna find a gin liqueur as scrumptious as the Battenberg Cake one.
That's right, you can taste the flavours of that much-loved marzipan covered chequered cake, but get the warm, fuzzy feeling all at once.
A 50cl bottle of the Battenberg Cake is £9.99 for a 50cl, and is on par with most of the other popular gin liqueurs on the market at 20%vol.
What do you mix it with? Well, soda water, tonic, lemonade - I reckon it would taste like Dr Pepper if you put it in Coca-Cola. I think for me, it would be straight over some ice (or ice-cream).
If you fancy trying the Cherry Bakewell Tart and Lemon Drizzle cake, then these are also both priced at £9.99.
Not all B&M stores sell alcohol, but if yours does then I'd get down there right now for your chance to bag this bakery favourite flavoured alcoholic delight.
As ever, make sure you drink responsibly.
