LEGO Launch New Wooden Minifigures

... and they ain't cheap
LEGO Launch New Wooden Minifigures

Well I never thought I'd see the day where LEGO release a wooden Minifigure, but would you believe it's actually happening. They have appeared in the LEGO Store but won't be available to order to the general public until 8th November 2019. If you are a LEGO VIP member, then you get exclusive access to ordering on the 3rd November - five days before anyone else.

LEGO Wooden Minifigure

The LEGO Originals Wooden Minifigure (853967) will be highly sought-after as it is highly collectable. It's the first wooden LEGO toy, and it's a Minifigure.

Each figure has an FSC-certified oak body, legs and head, but the hands are still made from plastic. As a 5:1 upscaled version of the classic minifigure, it is bigger, but is still posable with the moving limbs.

Comes presented in a premium gift box (I should hope so at that price!), an ideas leaflet and some plastic LEGO bricks.

They don't come cheap at £109.99 individually, but the LEGO Store will also be selling it as part of bundle deals. Here's what's available:

  • LEGO Lifestyle Bundle* at £134.99 which comes with the LEGO Wooden Minifigure, a LEGO 8 Stud Red Storage Brick, LEGO Minifigure Ceramic Mug and Red Blue and Yellow Wall Hanger (all worth £166.46).
  • LEGO Classic Brick Bundle* at £124.99, which comes with a LEGO Wooden Minifigure and Bricks Bricks Bricks 10717 (total worth £159.98).
  • LEGO Minifigure Bundle* at £149.99, includes LEGO Wooden Minifigure, a LEGO Minifigure Display Case 16, LEGO Minifigures series 19 71025 (all worth £142.97).

Those of you desperate enough to get your hands on one now, can do so today at the Pop Up Shop in Covent Garden, London.
