We do love a Cadbury Creme Egg, but this one may be a step too far even for us... you can now get Creme Egg lager! The Goose Island Brewery has teamed up with Cadbury to create a limited edition lager than is said to take just like the best-selling Easter chocolate treat, as part of the celebration of 50 years of the iconic Cadbury egg.
The new ‘It’s the Golden Goo-Beer-Lee’drink contains the traditional ingredients of a regular beer, but to add a Creme Egg twist it also has added milk sugar, cacao nibs and vanilla beans to give it the taste of the gooey chocolate egg.

Goose Island Brewery's master brewer said: “The flavours of a stout are already quite complementary to the Creme Egg, but I wanted to make sure when you crack open the beer you knew immediately what the inspiration was and really big up the chocolate and creaminess of the beer, while keeping it super drinkable.”
The cans went on sale earlier today at Goose Island Brewery's website but were a quick sell out, so if you want to try you hand at getting some you'll have to sign up to the mailing list and keep your fingers firmly crossed for the re-stock!
