The pop star announced the forthcoming book on Tuesday, saying: "It's coming, my story, on my terms, at last."
"I worked my ass off for this book, I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it," she said in a video on Instagram.
The book is available to pre-order today and will be published on 24th October 2023.
According to the publisher, the book will be a "brave and astonishingly
moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope"
that will also cover the singer's battle to end her conservatorship.
The controversial legal arrangement governed Spears' life for more than 13 years, allowing her father Jamie Spears to control her freedom and finances.
In her memoir, Spears will open up about speaking in court and the "impact sharing her voice - her truth" had on her and "countless others" and explore the "power of music and love".
