Octonauts Trike £10.50 @ Amazon

15 December 2012

There's a fabulous 70% off the Octonauts Trike at Amazon. They're selling it for £10.50 instead of £34.99, saving you £24.49.

We went on holiday recently and didn't have space for our trike to make the journey with us. On arrival at our destination, I found a second hand trike on the cheap, and we used that for the duration of our trip. The cheap one we bought is no where near as smooth a ride, as comfortable to push or as easy to manouvre as the more expensive one we use at home, but it was perfect for what we needed.

The Octonauts trike has a robust tubular steel frame for added stability, something one of the reviewers refers to saying it has a plastic 'feel' but is quite sturdy. The parent handle can be removed so tots can transport themselves, or if you're out and about, you can have control over where they go with it. The handlbar has an adjustable height at 50 - 53cm and there's a rear bucket for storage.

There's also a front wheel clutch for free wheeling, but that's something a few of the reviewers complained about as the clutch doesn't always work well. Still, at the price it'll be a nice big pressie under the tree, and makes a great alternative to a pram or pushchair.
