The Chad Valley 80 piece wooden blocks set feature a mixture of coloured and plain shaped blocks for your little one to stack and sort.

According to the reviews these are smaller than they look at first but I'd say it's all in the expectation. Some of the reviews say they're wonderful, some say they are too small for under 3's.

I love reviews on stuff like this. You get the school of people who basically return it because it doesn't 'do' anything, and then you get the people who get wooden toys that involve actual engagement with the child and the toys and all that. It's funny, some people's comments!

Anyway, this set doesn't require batteries, doesn't make sounds, is smaller than anticipated, but still plenty fun to play with, and there are 80 blocks in the set.

While they are constructing towers with these robust blocks, they are also improving their motor skills, so it's a great toy for both play and development.
