RECALL: Tommee Tippee Steamer Blender

RECALL: Tommee Tippee Steamer Blender

Earlier this year we told you about calls by parents to have the Tommee Tippee Steamer Blenders removed from shelves due to an issue with the blades. At the time Tommee Tippee issued advice on safe reassembling after cleaning as they thought this was an issue of the steamer not being put back together again correctly by parents. However their investigation was ongoing and now Tommee Tippee are advising all customers with affected models to request a free replacement blade and jug.

Parents had reported issues where the blade of the blender would scratch the jug, and in one case a parent said that it caused sharp plastic pieces in her baby's food. Tommee Tippee have conducted in depth testing that means they have now made alterations to the blade mechanism to resolve the issue.

They are making free replacements available to all customers who have bought the Tommee Tippee Steamer Blender, and you can request yours on the link above. The new blade comes attached to the jug unit, so you will be getting a replacement jug as well.

Details of which batches are affected, how to check if your blade is an old or new style, and how to request one can all be found on the link above. You don't need a receipt or any proof of purchase to make a request.
