RECALL: Asda Recall More Ballpoint Pens

RECALL: Asda Recall More Ballpoint Pens

In July Asda recalled ten different ballpoint pen items due to unsafe chemicals in the ink. There has today been a further recall involving another ten different packs of ballpoint pens because of the same issue.

If you have any of the pens from either recall you shouldn't not use them, but should return them to stores for a refund. You don't need your receipt or original packaging to get your refund as this is a safety recall.

You can find the earlier recall with the first items here, and the new recall from today here.

The recall follows below in full:

What's happened?
Asda is recalling the above packs of ballpoint pens, which have been on sale since June 2015. Following routine internal testing the ink within the pens was found to contain a higher level of one chemical that is above the limits set by safety regulations.

What you should do
If you have purchased these pens, please take them back to your local Asda store for a full refund. No receipt or packaging is necessary. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
