RECALL: Asda Ballpoint Pens Recalled Due To Unsafe Chemicals

Asda have just issued a recall on several types of their ballpoint pens as the ink that is used contains unsafe chemicals.

They have recalled ten different types of pen, six of which are pictured, and the items details follow below.

If you have any of these items you should not use them but should return them to stores for a full refund. You don't need your receipt or your packaging to get your refund.

The recall doesn't specify which chemical is the issue, or what the risk is, simply that it is "above the limits set by safety regulations".

What's happened?

Asda is recalling the above packs of ballpoint pens, which have been on sale since January 2014. Following routine internal testing the ink within the pens was found to contain a higher level of one chemical that is above the limits set by safety regulations.

What you should do?

If you have purchased these pens, please take them back to your local Asda store for a full refund. No receipt or packaging is necessary. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
