You may have caught the occasional comment from me suggesting I'm more a 5* hotel girl these days and how you wouldn't catch me dead sleeping in a tent, so you may be wondering why on earth I'd be in the market for a Victorinox Swiss Army knife. Well I'm going to tell you...
My daughter is currently doing her bronze Duke of Edinburgh award; they have a practice expedition coming up next month and on the list of 'must have' things is...a Swiss Army knife.
See? It all makes perfect sense now and I'm rather chuffed that I found this Victorinox Swiss Army knife for such a good price.
If you don't happen to have a teenager in the throws of D of E then you might be thinking there's no need for a Swiss Army knife, I would have thought this too and then I read these comments from a few HUKDers...
"I'm almost embarrassed to say how much i use mine, even used it yesterday to remove watch back when fitting a new battery."
"Keep mine in the car. Great quality build & steel - keeps a sharp edge. I find the scissors especially useful (broken (finger)nails, cutting loose threads, removing garment labels etc."
"In the last week I've used mine (1) as a screwdriver (2) as a bottle opener and (3) for opening cans of paint."
And these weren't the only comments along these lines; I rather feel I've been missing out on the joys of Swiss Army knife ownership now!
Here's a quick summary of what this Victorinox Swiss Army knife 'comes' with:
- Large & Small Blade
- Can Opener with small Screwdriver
- Bottle Opener with large Screwdriver and Wire Stripper
- Punch and Sewing Eye
- Key Ring
- Multipurpose Hook
