  • Discount: 20%
  • Applies to: first orders
  • Promotional code: CCRJ5
  • Expires: 31st October 2012

To use this code, you need to register on the site and sign in first. I found I had to go all the way through to the final payment page, then clicked on Edit Order, to go back to the Shopping Basket page. Then I had to remove the 10% discount code, given as standard to all new shoppers, and enter this code instead. After that it appeared automatically on my order.

Note though that even if you have selected standard delivery at the start of the checkout process, when you get to the end it mysteriously changes to the more expensive express delivery! Make sure you change this before you click on pay.

I tested it out on the Gray & Osbourn Maxi Dress shown here. This was reduced from £128 to £52 in the sale. The code took another £10.40 off and with standard delivery my whole order came to just £46.59.

And at the point it came to complete the order I came across another quirk of the site. When you enter your credit card details, there's a check box underneath that's already ticked - this will save your card details! So, if you DON''T want to save your card details (and forgive me but I really don't trust any site with my financial details, let alone one that tries to lure me into a higher delivery charge) you have to untick the box. If you forget, like I did, go to Your Account, and Saved Cards. If it isn't showing, log out and then log in again.

I've bought this dress for a wedding so I hope it all goes well. I'll be sure to come back and update you all!

My dress arrived. It was pretty gorgous, but no way was it a £128 dress. It was definitely only worth the £47 I paid for it, and then only because it was fully lined. Was not impressed with the quality of the sewing, especially on seams, it has a very poor quality zip. I'm not keeping the dress as it just didn't suit me. But I have to say that I'd have thought twice about keeping it even if it was. It left me wondering about the quality of other items on there. That said, the dress arrived promptly, just two days after ordering. It came in a robust pizza shaped box, folded with hangar and plastic wrapping and wrapped in tissue.
