There's certainly been a battle this year with the Christmas adverts. I love the Aldi advert with Kevin the Carrot and the Sainsbury's advert, purely for the catchy song!
But the Waitrose advert is also one of my favourites. It is so beautiful and has a real Winter feel to it.
The advert tells the tale of a little robin who is desperately trying to get home to his fellow robin and eat their mince pie together. He has several obstacles in his way including thunder and lightning and predators.
If you're a fan of the little plucky robin then you will definitely want to get your hands on the Coming Home* story book to accompany the advert. It is written by Michael Morpurgo of War Horse fame and features beautiful illustrations throughout.
It would make a gorgeous Christmas gift or stocking filler for the little ones. And at just £5 from your local Waitrose store or website, it is also a bargain! Plus 50p of that £5 goes to Crisis, the national charity for homeless people.
