Kidde 7DCO Carbon Monoxide Alarm £11.99 (was £30.75) @ Amazon

If you don't have a Carbon Monoxide Alarm in your home they are a must-buy for safety, and this one is a bargain price. The Kidde 7DCO Carbon Monoxide Alarm has more than 60% off right now, making it just £11.99 and the lowest price it has been for some time.

This is fantastic value for money as it has a full 10 year life and a guarantee, so you only need to replace it after a full decade! That's just £1.20 per year for the peace of mind this alarm can give.

A detector like this will tell you when there is deadly carbon monoxide gas present in your home, so if you have a boiler, wall heaters, wood burner or similar appliances this is essential.

Whats great about this particular model is the full ten year's life of the machine, as that's nearly twice as long as most other models. It has an alert that will tell you when it is reaching the end of it's life so that you can replace it too.

It's battery operated for convenience, meaning that you don't need to have a power source to plug it in, and batteries are included.

It has LEDs to indicate normal or alarm mode, a test and reset button, and you can mute the alarm when you need to once it has activated and you have been alerted.

You get full instructions, and a 10 year manufacturers warranty.

This is the carbon monoxide alarm we have at home, and it has been a much better buy that the last one we had that kept having to be replaced. This one sits in the kitchen near the boiler with it's little green light letting us know that we are protected and that's one less thing to worry about.

Home delivery is free on orders of £20 or more and for Amazon Prime customers, otherwise delivery charges of £3.99 will apply.

Don't all landlords by law have to put one in your home before you move in???

We have a gas fire and boiler in our house and it does not have a carbon monoxide alarm. We had a gas safety check last year and got told i needed one. So told my landlord and he said you dont have too! But if you want one you can buy them in argos. So i got one myself with my money.

Yes your landlord has to supply a carbon monoxide alarm if you have gas or solid fuel heating.

You can get them free if the fire service come and do a check. They fit fire alarms and give you a detector
