Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts At National Trust / National Trust For Scotland For The Last Time

2020 will be the last Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt event
Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts At National Trust / National Trust For Scotland For The Last Time

Each year Cadbury run Easter Egg Hunts in conjunction with the National Trust, and this year will be the very last ones. This April here are hundreds of egg hunts taking place at National Trust and National Trust For Scotland properties. Even better is that all children who take part can claim a delicious Cadbury chocolate prize!

Times and dates vary according to property, as do the fees. Some charge a fee or £2 or £2.50 as entry for the egg hunt, and that is on top of normal entry to the attraction, but a few are free to enter. There are such a wide range of National Trust properties that fees do vary an awful lot.

Some sites have an egg hunt running every day for the four day Easter weekend, and others just once on Good Friday or Easter Sunday.

Proceeds from all Easter Egg Hunts will go directly to the National Trust's charitable efforts to preserve heritage.

The National Trust Stops Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts

After 2020 there will be no more Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts, as The National Trust and Cadbury have mutually agreed to end their partnership. The National Trust has said this year's Easter egg hunts will be the last with Cadbury as it seeks to focus on "nature and the outdoors", and that it wanted to make chocolate "less of a focus". Health campaigners have welcomed the move, as the 13-year-old event is launched for a final time.

A spokesperson for the National Trust said: "While this year's Easter with Cadbury will go ahead as planned, we have both agreed this will be our last with the company. Now is the time for change as we look to increase our emphasis on nature and the outdoors. To reflect that in our Easter activities, from next year we will be making chocolate less of a focus. For this reason, it is the right time for us to end a partnership associated so uniquely with chocolate."

A spokesperson for Cadbury said: “The time is right to move on as we look for ways to bring Easter trails to more families, bringing joy to even more consumers at this special time of year.”
