Spoof Enid Blyton Books For Grown Ups To Be Published

A spoof series of books called Enid Blyton for Grown-Ups is to be published, based on what the Famous Five might be like as adults, and they are available for pre-order now.

The new titles will catch up with the children in four titles: Five Give Up the Booze*, Five Go Gluten Free*, Five Go On A Strategy Away Day* and Five Go Parenting*.

The series is written by Bruno Vincent, and follows on from the wonderful spoof Ladybird Books For Grown Ups, and if they are anything as amusing as those then we should be in for a treat.

The publisher said that the grown up adventures will "remind older readers of the unbreakable bond" between the children and "introduce newer readers to the spiffing time you can have with a few friends and a dog"! It added the series brings characters - who are "posher than us and holidayed more than us" into our "baffling adult world".

There's a bit of a wait for them as they aren't due for release until 3rd November, but that makes them perfect for those Secret Santa gifts.

What do you make of these parody books, and what do you think Enid Blyton would have made of them?
