LeapFrog Fridge Phonics £7.49 @ Argos

Leapfrog Fridge PhonicsWhen it comes to phonics, every little helps! At least in my experience, with a son who is a reluctant reader but loves his numbers. LeapFrog Fridge Phonics is a magnetic alphabet that 'sounds' out all 26 letters. Argos has the LeapFrog Fridge Phonics set on half price sale for £7.49.

Leapfrog Fridge Phonics 1There's a main unit, into which each of the letters can be pressed. The letters are also magnetic and can sit around the main unit on the fridge. According to one reviewer on Amazon, it says Zed instead of Zee. Which is always nice! When a letter is pressed into the unit, it produces a little song about the letter. A handy toy to have around in the kitchen too, for when you need to keep little hands occupied while you prepare food or have a nice cuppa while sitting on the kitchen stool doing the crossword! What also appeals to me with this toy is that it gives the child some control over making it work. The child has to pick a letter out and put it in the unit. Would be great for teaching them those first letters - such as the letter their name starts with.

You get a magnetic letter reader, 26 magnetic letters, and 3 AAA batteries. The toy is recommended from ages two upwards.
