A word of warning to parents here. If you buy this Lamaze toy then be prepared for your child to never ever want to be parted from it. Even when he is all grown up and five years old, he'll still be using it in his every day games. At least that's the experience I had with a similar Octopus type creature from the Lamaze range. The Octopus has, according to the website, a stimulating colourful rattle, and plenty of activities for the baby. The bright contrasting colours and patterns are always good for stimulating vision. And for the auditory senses there are rattles, squeaks and crinkles. It also has different textures to grip and grab, to help refine motor skills.
