For die-hard train fans there is nothing but Hornby and don't you dare try to fob them off with cheap imitations!
So let me get this right - you put all the track together and then the trains chug round and round, right? And that's it...?
OK, I don't get the whole drooling over train sets that boy kids do (and I'm including the grown-up ones in that too), I really don't! So if there are any train-obsessed PlayPennies dads out there reading this, maybe you'd enlighten me!
But for those who do 'get it', I have a feeling this is going to be a great deal for you. The Toy Shop have reduced this Hornby City Industrial train set from £120 to just £50 and there is NO DELIVERY to pay either.
It comes with all the following bits and pieces:
- Locomotive
- 3 wagons; 7 plank wagon, lowmac and load and 12 ton vent van
- A 4 wheel blue coach
- Oval track (00 guage - made up of curves, straights and 1 set of points, plus a power track piece for connecting your train controller and transformer.)
- Accessories
- Trackmat
- Train controller
- Transformer
It's suitable for train buffs six years and older and you'll need to have a clear space of 160 cm x 128 cm to run it.
