Mother's Day Gift Ideas @

A month away from Mothering Sunday is a good time to start looking for gifts that mum will like, rather than taking the last of whatever off the supermarket shelf the night before.

Most mums pretty much have all the smellies they want, not enough frames for all the photos and no need of yet another scarf or gloves. What most mums want from grown children is a bit more of our time, and from little children, i.e. Dad, a bit of time out. have something for everyone. There's 2 for 1 on spa days at Viva Beauty, lunch at Rivenhall Hotel from £13.00, afternoon tea for 2 the Ritz from £90, or for a bit more than just food, there's the Vineyard tour tasting & lunch that's also 2 for 1.

If you want to make a weekend out of it, there are hotel offers, such as London from £30, Bath from £55, and Madrid from £139.

And for the more adventurous, there's the exclusive Do something voucher for two - your choice of over 30 gift experiences, including ice climbing, tandem bungee jumping, chocolate, go-karting and more.

Take some time, and treat Mum to something nice this Mother's Day.

A mothers day article - that doesn't mention what day Mother Day is in 2011. Brilliant.

Am I the only tightwad that usually spends about a fiver on my mum for mother's day? This sort of extravagant shower of affection is normally reserved for her birthday. What's wrong with just a 'you're a great mum card' and a box of chocs? lol

My mother is lucky to even get a phone call from me because I get the date wrong every year! She is in NZ and we have Mother's Day and Father's Day on a different day. However, that's all she wants. Is either a phone call or a visit if you're near enough for that. When we were kids she also got a sleep in - she got break fast in bed and then pretty much left alone for a whole morning. I think that with six kids, a few hours of uninterrupted-ness was the best present she could get!

What do you think?
