Having trouble getting the kids out if the door in the mornings? Maybe it's just me who has to repeat "Brush your teeth!" a thousand times every day, but I'm wondering whether this will help get us to school with less stress and shouting.
LivingLocurto is a fab website with tons of free printables, and these Morning Routine Printable Cards look like a great idea. I'm not entirely sure of the thinking behind this, but I can definitely see that for easily distracted primary school children (like mine) having a visual prompt could well help.
To get the printable for free you just have to sign up to the LivingLocurto mailing list, but if you don't fancy doing that you could easily make something similar yourself.
This routine doesn't quite fit in with ours at home, so I think I might try making my own and see how they work. On second thoughts I might get my son to do it, then he will be even more likely to remember it if he is involved in making the cards.
What do you think of this parenting hack? Worth a try?
