If you're shopping for younger kids, you really can't go wrong with Melissa & Doug. They're such a popular brand, who consistently produce well made, and well thought out, toys. This Blockables Farm Friends Snap and Play caught my eye as it looks like great value for £3.61 from £9.99.
I'm a big fan of children learning through play and these promise to encourage fine motor control, problem-solving, matching, and storytelling through hands-on, open-ended play. It includes 16 pieces like goat horns, duck feet, and a spinning windmill, which I particularly like and imagine little ones will too. It's recommended from Age 2 and over, though I always think, unless there's any safety concerns, that's open for parents and carers to decide, some younger kids would love this too, it just depends on the individual. It's also compatible with other Blockables sets and will work with them, good to know if you've already got any.
