Junior Paint by Numbers £2.53 @ Amazon

26 July 2010

paint I used to absolutely love these paint by number sets when I was a kid. Goodness knows how many half-finished ones I left lying around because whenever I saw a new one I’d snatch it up with my pocket money. So, if your kids like painting and/or horses, then this low price of £2.53 with free delivery, should be a winner.

Included in the kit is a textured artboard that’s 305x225mm is size. You also get seven different acrylic paints, a step-by-step guide, an incorporated desk easel and paint organiser, and, of course, a brush.

The concept is pretty straightforward. You just paint the numbers as listed on the pots of paint and soon you’ll see a stunning portrait emerge from the funny little lines and blobs. It’s a great way to help children hone their fine motor skills, teaching them to colour in the lines with precision, and creativity.

I’ll bet I’m not the only one who swapped the colours around to see what would happen...

Well, this particular paint by numbers kit is of a horse galloping freely into the wind. Fun, cute and definitely worth paying less than £3 for.
