The Hunger Games Trilogy £4.99 @ The Book People

5 June 2012

The Hunger Games is one of those books that took me by surprise. I didn’t expect to enjoy it, in fact I was against it because of the fact that, to me, it was a copy of an original Japanese film. However, it is very well executed and utterly gripping, so if you have never read these books then this deal is perfect for you.

The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins is down from £20.97 to £4.99 for all three books. This is a fantastic price, I paid full price for each title, so you have no excuse to start writing.

The books transport the reader to a dystopian future world where teenagers are forced to take part in the Hunger Games to win favour for themselves and their village. Children must fight to the death in order to win these honours and Katniss Everdeen steps in to save her sister from this fate. What happens next is a gripping and heartbreaking series that is well worth reading.

Read these over the last week, pretty good reads. The first was the best though, I picked it up and couldn't set it down until I was finished.
