The LeapFrog LeapBand Activity Tracker is £14.99 at Amazon right now, down from their usual price of £29.99.
I reckon my little darlings would have absolutely loved one of these when they were of an age to appreciate such things.
It's basically a 'wearable virtual pet' but it encourages kids to get active - you have to jump, dance and run to power your pet. There are 8 different pets to choose from and they feature 50 different games, activities and challenges.
The parental controls seems pretty well-considered, too - you can actually set it to School and Quiet Time modes, so they won't start skipping in assembly in a bid to keep their pet alive.
I'm not sure I'd pay £29.00 for this (ok, I totally wouldn't) but at this price I'm already thinking of popping one away for a little someone for next Christmas. Sorry, is it too soon to say that?!
