What is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday was named by Ellen Davis from the National Retail Federation (NRF) in 2005, when she reported that this date held the record for the highest revenues for online sales. It refers to an online-only shopping event offering discounts on electronics, home appliances, personal accessories, apparel and more. Some retailers wait until Cyber Monday to announce their online deals, saving in-store deals for Black Friday, but with the popularity of online retail, both Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become online extravaganzas of epic proportions.

In 2016, the top-selling electronics sold during Black Friday through Cyber Monday in the US included the Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft XBox, Samsung 4K TVs, Apple iPhones, and the Amazon Fire. Toy shoppers purchased record numbers of Lego sets, Nerf, Shopkins, Barbie, and the Pie Face Game. The biggest players this Cyber Monday are Amazon UK, Currys, ASDA, and John Lewis. And good news, we will be keeping our eye on all of them and posting the very best deals right here.

When is Cyber Monday 2017?

Cyber Monday falls on the Monday following American Thanksgiving weekend, and this year will take place on November 27th. The day known as Cyber Monday marks the end of the biggest shopping weekend of the year, just around the corner from American Thanksgiving and right after Black Friday. And what a day it is! Last year, Britons spent a record £5.8 billion over the four days between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. And this year, experts are predicting more online sales than ever.

In the meantime, save those dates and check back here for updates!
