This is NOT an Amazon Deal of the Week so its cheapness is vulnerable to Amazon's penchant for changing their prices as and when the desire takes them - so if you think you might want to buy a copy, I urge you not to think about it for too long.
The book contains over 500 different model ideas and has tips from expert LEGO builders on how to make your jet planes even more supersonic, create fabulous fortresses and all sorts.
The book is divided into six themed chapters - transport, buildings, space, kingdoms, adventure and useful makes and existing owners of LEGO Ideas seem to, still be, falling into two very opposing camps:
- Those who are disappointed and think t's rubbish because there aren't step-by-step instructions, like the boxed models have, and you need lots of bricks to build some of the models; and
- Those who are thrilled and think it's the most awesome LEGO book EVER! It provides inspiration for models and, because it doesn't have step-by-step instructions, lets you unleash your own imagination and creativity rather than just blindly copying someone else's idea of a great LEGO model
You'll need to make a call as to which camp your child is most likely to fall into and base your purchase decision on that; and, let's face it, at £4.99 it's hardly going to be a disaster if you call it wrong.
