I'm a big fan of construction toys like this remote controlled Meccano four-wheeled buggy!
One of my first memories of infants school is the Meccano draw and making a dash for it, when it was free-play time, to ensure I got there before the boys did.
It was metal back in those days too and I LOVED it!
