The Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Starter Set is half price at Boots from today, reduced from £25 to just £12.50, and that's a really low price for this set. At the moment I can't find anywhere else that is selling this train set for less than £20, and most stores have it for the full RRP of £25.
This is a really good starter set for young Thomas fans as it has a chunky wooden track, a Thomas train, a 'caboose' carriage, green tree, The Fat Controller, stop bar stand and yellow railway cross sign.
Although it says that this is suitable for ages 3 and over I would think that is because the stop sign and tree are small enough to be a choking hazard for toddlers who still pop things in their mouths. My youngest is two and happily plays with sets the same size as this one and I just remove the smaller signs, trees and other accessories.
This Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Starter Set can be collected for free from Boots stores, home delivery is free when you spend £45 or more, or home delivery charges are from £3.50.
