There has been an urgent recall issued today for Thorntons Chocolate Santas as they may contain pieces of plastic.
The recall covers the Thorntons Hollow Milk Chocolate Jolly Santa 200g, all dates and all batches.
A company spokesperson said: "The piece of plastic is from a polycarbonate mould used in the manufacturing process of the Jolly Santa model. The quality and safety of its products is of utmost importance to Thorntons. We are proud of the exacting standard and care we take in the preparation and manufacture of all our products. As soon as this matter was brought to our attention we launched an immediate investigation to take corrective action including a full product recall."
If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to any Thorntons store for an alternative product or a full refund.
These items were sold in Thornotn's stores and also in other retailers including supermarkets, Argos and so on, and the recall covers them wherever you purchased them from.
