RECALL: Little Live Pet Lil Frog & Little Live Pet Lil Frog Lily Pad

RECALL: Little Live Pet Lil Frog & Little Live Pet Lil Frog Lily Pad

Character Toys have issued a recall on Little Live Pet Lil Frog and Little Live Pet Lil Frog Lily Pad toys as a precautionary measure due to safety concerns.

They state that "this is due to a design defect which could cause a potential safety issue if the batteries are removed" and customers are advised "not to open the Frog's battery compartment or remove the batteries" and to return the item.

The Asda* website says that the issue is that "when the button batteries are removed from the toy frogs, the battery's cap can become a projectile and the battery's chemicals can leak, posing chemical and injury hazards."

If you have one of these toys you should stop using it, and either return it to the store you purchased it from for a refund, or contact the UK distributors Character Options Ltd. These toys was sold in Asda*, Tesco*, Argosand lots of other retailers, but have now been removed from sale.

Receipts are not needed to obtain a refund on an item that has been recalled.

You can contact Character Options on 0161 633 9808 (UK); +44 161 633 9808 (ROI) or [email protected].
