HiPP are recalling their range of HiPP Organic Fruity O's Breakfast Cereal as the products may contain small pieces of metal wire. These were sold at Tesco only in the UK, so if you have this cereal at home you should not use it, but should return it to a Tesco store for a full refund.
The specific products affected are:
- HiPP Organic Fruity O's breakfast cereal with best-before dates from 19 January 2017 – 3 March 2017 (best-before date at top of the pack)
- Breakfast cereal, 140 g
- Batch numbers L190416 / L020616 / L200417 / L030616
The pieces of metal wire were discovered in three products in Germany where the cereal is manufactured, so the plant has ceased production while they investigate the issue.
If you have the HiPP Organic Fruity O's Breakfast Cereal listed above you should return it to a Tesco store for a full refund, with no receipt necessary. You can see the recall notice on the Trading Standards website here and on the HiPP website here.
