Product Recall: Baby Foam Blocks Sold at 99p Stores

99p Stores have today issued a product recall on their Baby Foam Blocks as a sample has failed product testing by producing small parts. As this is a toy specifically aimed at babies there are restrictions on the size of parts to prevent choking, so this product has been recalled.

Although it isn't specified in the recall notice Family Bargains are part of the same chain of stores so if you have bought anything matching the description from that store it might be wise to check the barcode to see if it is the same product.

The following notice has been issued by the retailer:

Customer Recall Notice

017-765 BABY 6PACK FOAM BLOCKS

BARCODE: 505038417765

During routine quality and safety checks one of the samples tested failed, producing small parts. Despite this issue being found in only one sample we have taken the decision to recall all of these blocks.

We remain committed to the highest levels of product quality and apologise for the inconvenience this will cause. All actions are being taken to eliminate the problem and restore supplies of this product.

What You Should Do

Check the barcode on your purchase matches those shown on this notice and return the item to your nearest store as soon as possible.
