I'm a big fan of Lamaze things but £64.99, even for them, is just a touch over the top.
I've had a fair bit of experience with baby gyms and they can be a bit hit and miss to be honest.
Whilst the most expensive ones are over-priced for what they are, the cheapest of the cheap at the other end of the scale are naff; it pays to keep an eye out for deals like this current Amazon one for the Lamaze Pyramid Playhouse Gym, so you can pick up a great one for the cost of mid-range one.
It has three developmental stages: Stage One (0m +) tummy time and lay & play, Stage Two (6m +) sit & play and Stage Three (9m +) peek-a-boo & matching games.
The play mat itself is double-sided and there is a boy and a girl doll included to encourage imaginative role play.
There's a Tummy Time mirror and a baby activated sun with lights and music, which aids visual tracking, and the sun has two music modes too: baby activated or continuous play and it can be attached to a push chair to keep your baby entertained when you're on the move.
And then, of course, there are the usual rattle, crinkle, and squeaky soft shapes.
The Lamaze Pyramid Play House baby gym folds up nice and small so it's nice and easy to take out and about with you.
It requires 3 AA batteries, which aren't included I'm sorry to say and please DO note that this isn't a Deal of the Week, so the price isn't fixed.
